My Story
John Murphy is a passionate, experienced leader whose visionary skills have allowed him to create, grow and sell several businesses. He built one of the largest DJ entertainment companies in the country, invented and patented the “Detach N Go” Iine
of pill organizers, which was sold in Walgreens, Target, and many other retail outlets, He created the “It’s Exciting Lighting” line of battery powered, LED wall sconces, and reading and pendant lights. He personally appeared numerous times on QVC, HSN,
TSC in Canada, TVSN in Australia as the on-air guest expert to grow sales and build brand identity.
Currently, John is a successful Realtor in Prescott with “Realty ONE Group - Mountain Desert” and is active in the community as a member of Frontier Rotary, and the Overcomers Men’s group. He also created the Prescott Lakes Gardening Club, for
members of Prescott Lakes.
John served as the Chair for the Mayors Commission on Well-Being and leads his nonprofit, “Make 100 Healthy Foundation” on its mission to reduce diabetes and obesity by teaching the health benefits of growing and eating fresh food. He spearheaded the campaign to grow “1 million New Victory Gardens” across America by educating people about the importance of eating real, nutrient dense food. His Educational program, “Gardeners Of Destiny” teaches the next generation of gardeners the essential life skill
to grow food. The Foundation has supported local farmers by helping raise a barn that led to double the food production, to paying farmers to teach gardening classes.
John is happily married, with 4 adult children. He created “Make 100 Healthy” to create a path to a long and healthy life with energy and positivity. His slogan is “Yes You Can Make 100 Healthy… But it doesn’t happen by accident”. He works out, swims and stretches daily and loves to play golf whenever he can. John also is a contributing writer for Prescott Healthy Living Magazine and has taken the lead to bring the “Prescott Food Forest – A Modern Community Garden”, to fruition. The next order of business is to get approval from the City Council to bring this project
to reality.
